Jadzia noticed Karl staring contemptuously at the cookies a brief moment, choosing to not think too much of it. She continued to grab things from the table, putting them away. Once he walked away to find the basket, she picked up the pace a bit, hoping to get done faster. She started to put the used dishes in the empty dishwasher, hoping this was actually the right thing to be doing.
Most of the dishes were put away, and the table was cleared of sandwich making supplies when Karl finally returned. Kana and herself had tried to be very thorough so Mr. Vantas wouldn’t have to clean up after their mess. When he set the basket down, Jadzia shyly began to prod at the basket, opening it and starting to pack things in, starting with the heaviest items first so the sandwiches wouldn’t smush.
“I think we’re almost ready to go!” She squeaked cheerfully.
Though all of their food supplies were accounted for, Kana couldn’t help but feel like they were forgetting something. Hmm. Oh well, if they did they could always head back. ”I Believe That Should Be It, Given That You And Jadzia Do Not Have Any Other Ideas.”
Jadzia already was taking care of loading the basket, so Kana decided to get a plastic bag to carry the chips with. ”Oh Karl, Do Not Forget To Make Sure You Have The Keys Before Leaving. I Am Almost Certain You Would Not Want Your Father Needing To Return Only Moments After Taking His Leave.” While slightly joking, Kana did not want to have a situation where they would be locked out for the rest of the day.
